  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.

Submission Guidelines

AJHSJ welcomes original, high-quality manuscripts that advance Africentric scholarship in health and social justice. All submissions must be original, clearly written, and prepared in accordance with the Journal’s author guidelines.

Preparing Your Manuscript

  • Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.
  • Use clear academic language, ensure all sources are appropriately referenced and according to the specified referencing guidelines.
  • Ensure the manuscript is original and not under consideration by any other journal.

Ethics statement where applicable


Ethical Requirements

Studies involving human participants, data, or biological materials must include an ethics approval statement.

Consent for publication is required where identifiable information appears.

Authors must declare any potential conflicts of interest.
